Driver window slow to go up and down - problem? fix?

Just yesterday, I noticed a distinct slowdown in the operation of my driver window in comparison to my passenger window, and this morning it seemed even slower. What's up with this? Glad I just took my car in for service, now I get to go back...

My 97 GTS was doing that as well, then one day, it started working fine again... Let me know what they fixed.

Mine stopped in the up position - replaced the window regulator under warranty.

The most common problem with the windows is the guide seal thats drops out of place and will cause the window to bind then when it falls all the way out of place the window will rattle when it's half or all the way down.It's not to hard to remove the door panel and check the guides your self.If the guide has dropped out of place you can use a very good glue/sealant and put it back into place.If you have any questions on how to remove the panel plase give me a call.

Slaugther.. Excellent advice above!! MIne did the same thing. The Weather stripping kind of 'fell' off but stayed attached and caused my drivers window to catch it on the way up. I didn't notice until I looked more closely. Easy fix, I just pulled out the peice and reattached with 3M adhesive caulk put into place and rolled the window back up to hold it into place for a few hours. I hope your problem is that simple!

I have noticed exactly the same thing with my new 2002 GTS. It is almost like it is mechanical. The drivers side window is almost exactly 3/4 of inch behind the passenger. I can not tell you the number of times I have gotten out of the car to find the passenger up and the drivers side still needs another 3/4 of inch. I remember reading about this before I got my new Viper but did not pay much attention until now. My 1999 ACR did not have this problem.

When I get home I am going to check what was mentioned above.

I would like to hear from others who are having this problem. I really thought this was intentional for some reason from Dodge????

I had the same problem, and it turned out to be the switch. Wiggling the switch around would cause the window to work. Replaced the switch and everything is cool.

SAM Team, this problem just started for me, yours sounds different, possibly the same problem straight from the factory, but the speeds of operation seem different, so different mentioned solutions may be the case for us...
