With my A$$ -O -Meter... This is the best bang for the buck, I have ever spent $$$$ on. I have driven 40,000 in my car and had gotten used to it. (If you can get "used" to 400+hp.) I am now scared to mash the gas! I have forgotten how that felt since I first got the car. It pulls really hard in 2-5, the fun range!
I would like to thank 4 people,

1. JonB ( Parts Rack) for a great price and setting up the appointment! No sales tax! Highly Recommended!

2.Unitrax in Anaheim,Ca " The King of Gears" For the install.
I dropped the car at 9 a.m, went and played golf. Picked it up at 3 p.m. Great service ( noticed I had a tranny leak and let me know about it), nice people. Highly recommended!

3. Arthur Hills golf course architect. For Black Gold Golf Course (Yorba Linda, CA )only a few miles from Unitrax. Great course, great price.

4. David Jenkins "The best Viper tech" who fixed that tranny leak in 20 min when I drove up with no appointment!

This is a great way to spend a day off. Gears and Golf!
Highly recommended!

Getting 3:55 gears is like getting a new girlfriend!
The excitement is BACK ! You have a NEW CAR feel....

SEAT DYNO is the proof....... Time-to-peak HP also shows up on the real dyno. You get there FASTER!

Gears have always been my top recommendation. I paid over $1500 in 1993..........you paid well under $1000. installed ! {THANKS for the plug. Dave Jenkins and Dan Cragin are TOPS in your area.)

You guy's should check out Scott (Tooofst) Viper, he just put in his 3.55 gear it feels like a new girlfriend but unfortunately the track performance did not improve his e.t, in fact he had a slower e.t..

Butch the Snake,

Yeah, I read the post. Although, this is not a fair comparison. His car is mega-horsepower (Nitrous). Too much torque for the 3.55's and pilot tires. Mega-HP cars are better with the 3.07's (especially using pilots), as no one is disputing this fact. Particularly with nitrous, since the added power is instant. Although, when RWHP is 450 or under, and traction is not an issue, gears will improve acceleration & 1/4 mile times, IMHO.

I'd like to hear more 355gear times at the track.I believe it hurts the viper modded or not on street tires in 1320.Maybe infamous Evan Smith can slip the (rap out her and improve times.I tried different launches and its no fun. When I try the slicks, the story should turn around.2-5gear is a bang, kills the stock viper.

Hey Newport, what about me? Who took you for the ride that pinned you in the seat? Congrats on the upgrade. It will feel like a new car for at least 6 months until you get used to the pull. Then you'll want to go just a wee bit faster.

Redsled,
How could I have forgotten, with out the test ride I wouldn't have droppped the $1G. Thanks again I hope to be up your way. I will offer a test drive/ride ( Viper Owner) to anyone that wants to have a ride to feel the difference!

TOOFST,

I'm not sure I understood your last post, but you don't need to shift into 5'th with 3.55 gears racing a stock/near stock Viper. My 3.73's can do 124-126MPH in 4'th, and I think the 3.55's can go low 130's in 4'th. THERE IS NO EXTRA SHIFT UNLESS YOUR MAKING MASSIVE POWER (Nitrous, SC, Turbo, Tuner Motor) in the 1/4 mile. Right???
