I just got a call that my forgeline wheels are ready for shipping:D
So that means that I need to get my Eibach's on. I did a search but most of the info I found was Gen I/II related. I'm able to use my buddies lift so It should be a little easier.

In other words I was hoping for some helpful tips if there any out there.

For the tips I will post before and after pics for everyone:)
and then when the Fed EX guy brings me my wheels I will post ALOT a pics

Thanks

Umm. You can poke your eye out if you're not careful.

WEAR SAFETY GLASSES.

Springs go twang faster than you can react.

Well thats not what i was looking for but i'm assuming that safety glasses won't do a damn thing when the spring goes flying off.........:omg:

1) Hopefully you have one of the hydraulic spring compressors as the manual ones are a pain in the ****.

2) There is a big rubber access plug in the top of the wheel well in the rear to allow you to remove the rear shocks.

3) I think it was mentioned somewhere that the final tightening of the suspension components should be with the weight on the wheels.

Good luck.

Well had a manual one and yes it was a pain in the a$$..

The rubber access plug was real nice.

I did not re-torque the suspension bolts, I did not have the torque specs. Any one have them???

other than that I should have my wheels this week so i'll re-torque the bolts then.

Do you have a before picture as well? This is one of the first mods I want to do (Eibach's with stock wheels, although mine are the 5 spokes). There still seems to be a good gap, which I guess would settle a little more in the future. Thanks!

Looks good. I've got a set of Eibachs in my trunk that are waiting to be installed.

I still think I'll want my to be lower though. :(

In the past someone mentioned that there is a risk of damaging the rear shock with the eibach spring only install... any truth to that?

I have new forgeline wheels being delivered on Wednesday 19/20 setup. The front wheel gap should decrease by another 1/2 inch. the back i'm not to sure of, i have a bigger wheel but the side wall of the tire is alittle smaller. The car is low, the front is really low. Now the back looks like it could drop maybe another 3/4-1 but i'll wait to put the new wheels on and then look. I could order the lowering caps from Jon B and just put them on the back.

damaging the shocks with just having the springs i doubt but the caps and springs i hear are really not good, so i'm hoping the new wheels fill the rear gap perfect.
