Ok...I posted this sometime last week (I thought) but the thread seems to have disappeared...

I've started a company which sells advertising space on the outside of Vipers and other exotic cars. I'm using my '94 RT/10 as the initial test vehicle and would really like some good (tested) advice on how to remove the various emblems. I've heard that you can use a heat gun or blow dryer. Is that really considered the best method? I'm worried about warping body panels.

you can remove emblems using dental floss. Don't pry them off, but use a back and forth sawing motion to cut through the adhesive.

Then get some adhesive remover that's safe for the paint from an automotive paint supply store.

ROB.......unless you have experience w/ a heat gun, STAY AWAY!

PartsRack sells a LOT of chrome, silver, black, etc contrasting emblems--Even the hood and trunk medallions---for folks just wanting a new look..... ie BLACK on a yellow snake ! We have helped a lot of folks complete the job. I prefer fine, monofilament fishing line, but UNWAXED dental floss works well....
A hair dryer on high, especially if it has a condensor on it, is all that you need to heat and soften the adhesive on the Viper emblems.

JonB or anyone, do you have photo of black emblem on yellow snake? Might look good with my black rims?

I think youll LOVE the black emblems on side and rear. Looks great on striped snakes for sure....

Chrome emblems look awesome w/ polished wheel....why not black w/ black?

I'm so convinced Id give you a full refund if you just send em back untouched............

Rob,

Put black emblems on my yellow 01 GTS. JonB helped with the hood emblem. It looks really nice and seems to help define the lines of the car.
Give JonB a call...
