How many hours or days should it take for tech to install engine after Arrow Rebuild. Engine came in today and my dealer is saying they are going to have to take the tech off my car during the install at times to work on other cars. Said they may be able to start on it next week. They new it was coming in. Should that happen. I feel like, with all the parts involved, mistakes can happen if he is pulled constantly. Plus I think its BS anyway. Get the job done already. Thought about calling the region rep if they try and drag this out any further. Thoughts? Thanks

When my tech did mine he called and said the motor had come in at 8:30am and was ready by 2:00 that same afternoon and my viper was the first he had ever done. Jerry

I can understand them having to pull the tech here and there, but it shouldn't take all that long. I put my motor in on a Saturday. I was all alone and didn't even have another set of hands to help me with the hoist (tilting and shifting and whatever else). I'm sure when a dealers tech is installing a motor he can at least get another set of hands from time to time which speeds along the process.

I have no problem with the tech. He is great. Actually, not a true tech (None in Jax)but is the only one allowed to work on vipers. My problem is with the service manager pulling him. I have no prob slipping him another $100 for the work. Planned to anyway. Just could not figure out why they would want to fill a bay and mess around with it. Thanks for the comments

My engine took about a 9 days. However Eddie had plenty of work to do. (His bay is full, just full of vipers!). Plus he kept the car a few extra days to drive it, check for leaks etc. I cannot say how many hours it took but he did a thorough job of it. Although I called about once a week or so, I never tried to push/bug him as I wanted it done right, not fast. (But the wait was painful). It sure feels good when you look into your tech's bay and see that all he works on is Vipers.

I'll second that!

Hey Dan, the other day a little honey came running to me when I pulled up to Winghouse in my RT/10. She mentioned you and your shop and went on and on about all the Viper work you do. She said you never let her sit in a Viper so I let her sit on mine.
