engine temp

guys i have a 99 gts,what is normal running engine temp mine runs open road 90 in traffic a/c off just past white mark. it seems to run cooler in traffic with the a/c on.i have read the posts about burbing it but they have made me really worried about getting it wrong. broncoupe

Vipers are designed to run hot. I was told by the gentlemen who trains the Viper techs as long as you're not in the red, you're ok. Just for comparison, my 96' RT/10 runs just to the right of the 3rd hash mark in the center. It doesnt matter whether im highway driving, city driving, AC on, AC off, etc. It stays right there when the car is at operating temperature. I've seen it spike a little farther to the right a couple times, but it usually drops back down after a little bit to its normal place

My 96 rt/10 was just the same as V10Speed's. My 98 GTS has never gotten that hot and stays around the center with spikes to the 3rd hash mark of the center group.
