Wow, that pretty crappy. My membership wasn't a year old yet! It is calendar year rather than actual year?
 :crazy2:

One day into the new year and I am "Enthusiast"? Messed up.

That is the way it has always been done since the club was first organized in 1995 and is pretty typical for car clubs.

Can we get a #12 put up in the VOI section? :D

Good idea. My bet is when it is officially announced we will create a forum for it and move the current threads there. Should be fun!

I was just now turned to "Enthusiast". No problem. I have 2 small children and can never get to any VCA events. HOWEVER, I was waiting for information on the VOI this year and was going to join again if it was close and at a good time. So, I hope there is some kind of information thread that we can see. If not, please someone PM me with information so I can make a decision.

That might be the way the rules read but that was never the practice in the past. I was listed as "member", never was listed a "enthusiast" after the first of the year.

That's fine, I'll renew, I had every intention of doing that anyway. I just had no idea that first of the year I would be cut off.

Even banks have a grace period.

I don't know how much you've kept up with the upgrades/updates to this site, but the renewal process has been automated. In past years, users of this site were listed as 'Members/Owners' for years even though they didn't poney up any money. It was done manually. Welcome to the new VCA...it's called progress.

The system isn't full-proof... As of the time of this post Mopar Steve is listed as an "Enthusiast" but still has an avatar. I am listed as an "Enthusiast" with no avatar. So, something still is not quite working in the automated system... Maybe the automated system is anticipating (watching this thread) Mopar Steve's enrollment and thus letting him keep his avatar...:)
