If you’re still thinking about attending the race between a 2008 Dodge Viper and an F-16 “Viper” fighter jet at the Luke Air Force Base in Scottsdale, Ariz., March 23–25, we’ve added an extra attraction that just may seal the deal. On Sunday, March 25, attendees will be able to visit the DaimlerChrysler Proving Grounds located just outside Phoenix and participate in an autocross that will be run by members of the local SCCA. SRT will provide the Vipers so you can test your autocrossing skills and not worry about wearing away the tread from your own tires. If the VCA-SRT Challenge continues on this year this event will be the one where the first 2 from the VCA secure a spot.
In addition to the autocross, you’ll also receive a tour of the Proving Grounds and, since the facility is scheduled to close next year, this could be your last chance to visit this historical location.
