My right side cat converter has a vertical karate chop about
an inch deep. Should I ignore this ? Replace the right side
cat/muffler section with either a used or new section ? Or
replace both sides with a Borla system of some sort ?
I saw a complete take off factory exhaust system in the classified section for $400.00. It probably wouldn't cost near that to have the damaged piece cosmetically repaired, and much cheaper to ignore, as this is behind the exhaust cover.
We don't have an emission system problems here, so modification
is not a problem.

Its funny you mention this. I have the exact same description as you but mines on the drivers side. Is yours right on the middle seam of the cat?

If there are no emissions there hack off the cats and mufflers and have a shop weld in a straight 3 inch pipe...shouldn't cost much...maybe $125-150...better sound and performance
