I plan on selling my 00 ACR soon. The previous owner purchased the ext. warranty with Chrysler. I transferred the warranty to my name. From what I understand I can not transfer the warranty to the next guy right?? Also, if I cant transfer it, can I cash it out to help pay for a ext. warranty for the next guy?? My car still has over a year left under the 3 year 36k warranty.

Tony,

Your right on the money. Since the extended warranty was transfered to you, it can not be transfered again (can only be transfered once, so I'm told). Also, you should be able to cancel the remainder of the warranty. You can do this directly through DC Service Contracts (800) 521-9922 but it will take at least 45 days to process (they will back date your cancellation date, however), or you can go to your dodge dealer and they can process your request through their computer system, which is MUCH faster. Be advised that if you cancel the warranty through the dealer, the check will be mailed (in your name) back to the selling dealer. I'm not sure how this works if you bought from a private party. Hope this helps.....Kurt
