exterior door pushbutton sticking in

Have you tried a little WD40 or equivalent? Squirt from the outside and work the button a few times?

May be a short term fix, but cheap.


Yea Dave,I tried that.it feels like something like a spring maybe has broken.if i rotate and screw with it it will push in and out smoothly....then all the sudden you push it in and it locks up like it is filled with sand.:dunno:

as per tator.....compressed air first followed by a small shot of WD40...ya might need to work it a little but it does fix it.

worked 2 years ago for me

pretty cool. do you need a different fob for each door? what brand did they use?
