Any thoughts on what a fair dollar value off MSRP would be for an untitled 01 sitting in a dealers showroom?
Consider you can negotiate say 4Kish off the MSRP, is it safe to figure approx another 4Kish for a year old model??
I'll take advice from anyone but Tator and Bill on this one...........
thanks, getting closer and closer,
Ryan

I thought there was about a 7k spread between dealer cost and invoice? 8k total would put it below cost. Personally, I think the guys you say you don't want advice from, tator and bill p. are the only ones you should ask, also perhaps roanoke. Pemberton in particular will tell you to run, buy the car if it's a great deal, even if he doesn't have the car. He did exactly that with me on the first phone call, he also told me why the other car was not good for resale, bad color combo, but that it was a steal if price was the first consideration. Also if the car has been sitting that long, the dealer has had to fork out a lot of money floorplanning it and at this point might just keep it until gen 2 goes out of production.

Hey Lee, 2nd response on my 2 topics, thanks for the input!

That was strictly a joke meaning not to ask a dealer how much off MSRP is fair, most would answer back none of course. I have talked with Bill, if I was 2 miles North (yes North), in the states, I would have a car from Bill by now, class act.

I don't think it's out of the question to take a loss or breakeven on a car that has been written off for the year and has been sitting for a year on the lot, then again, I'm cheap.......

FWIW, MSRP in Canada is 112K, with cost being right under a hundred. Leaning to new after landing an early GENII will hit me over 80,000 for a 6 year old car, with no warranty!

thanks again,
Ryan

Ryan, You mean GST (Goods and Services Tax)? I hope you find your car and your home really does become the land of the GTS. ;)
