To put in my new Italian "get out of my freakin way" horns, I had to remove the front half of my car. Okay, just the fascia but still.

I plan to clean out the 12 pounds of lady bugs, grit, leaves, and 10 years of accumulated filth in there. You guys wouldn't believe what my 16k mile car has stored inside this inaccessible area.

Now that I'm in there, was wondering if I could put in the earlier model driving lamp lens covers to protect the glass.

I read posts about very breakable 'tabs' and since I don't have mounting holes, would have to do a light fab there, so...

Anyone got any used or otherwise 'spare' ones I could buy for my experiment?

A clever guy like you could shave/file off the tabs and install them with a bead of silicone sealer

As a clever guy, I could also borrow that brilliant idea and put it to use! Thanks Jon. If it works, I plan to take full credit. ;)

Scored new lenses today from Viper Larry.
Getting clear side marker lights from 'Lenz'.
Ordered some 1 1/2" black side molding to attach to my 'soon to be repainted' but currently scratched underside.
All this because I hated my wimpy horns.

Yes, the new Griot's Italian horn sounds great, will mount up tomorrow. Should be a fun Viper day in the garage!

I searched your site, came up empty. Searched 'lens' 'cover' 'light' 'driving' and 'shield'. Looked in 'body' 'exterior' 'accessories' and 'aerodynamics'. Nothing for these. Hint was too subtle! You need to be harsher with me or PM.

While the fascia was off...

Amazingly, most of the lower fascia scratches buffed pretty well, at least where they don't stand out as much.

I paired the horn from Griots with the 'high' noted original on the passenger side. HUGE improvement. Wimpy horns no more!

Cleaned up all the years of debris and dirt, came out okay. Filled my rad overflow (how in the world are you EVER supposed to do this with the fascia on???) since it was right at 'min' mark.

Hardest thing was getting the dump push clips back in. Bought new and nearly broke both thumbs pushing them in. Pity the assembly liners on that.

The only thing additional I would recommend [ strongly ] was to replace the old and brittle overflow tank, and be sure the holding screws below it were shielded from puncturing it in a hard fascia-slapper.

good job, done well.
