Chris, With you knowing my background, I'm sure its hard to believe that I could get hooked on a car! My RED/Silver car really has spoiled me. I really hope Mike L. enjoys it half as much as I miss it. The tranny will be in this week. I couldn't believe that it did that but then you know how hard I drove that car (ha ha) See you Tuesday nite! Mike

I personally don't think, when it's actually time to sell, that a dealer will give you much more AT ALL for a Final Edition. Surely not enough to substantiate an increase in the original price. if there even is one.

Final Edition - nada on pricing - will be the same as the 1996 GTS and the 1992 RT/10 - price will go down down down.

ACR - buy the stock GTS and go get the Penske shock setup fpr about $5,000 - send half the $5,000 grand you saved to me!!

Years from now, they'll all be valued on condition and how close the car is to being unmodified. After that, it'll be color.

2002, 1996, 1992, ACR, Last 300, Final Edition, etc. won't matter. GT-2's, Raffle cars, the one "First", the one "Last", and Lutz's car would be the only exceptions in my opinion.

It seems to be a numbers game. As the cars become more rare due to attrition, the price will rise on cars where " factory installed options" are even rarer. The couple of "one only editions" and the GT - 2's, ( for sure ) perhaps ACR's may command a higher price in the far distant future. Maybe ten to 15 years from now. Then again, maybe not. ( I'm thinking how AAR 'Cuda's get a few more bucks now than your standard 340 or 383 Barracuda as an example)

What is the general thought on the final edition cars. Will these cars be any more valuable than a normal GTS or ACR? The rumor has it that there will be 300 GTS cars and 60 ACR cars. Do you guys think the ACR will hold it money better or will it do what it has done in the past? Thanks

Personally, I don't think they will command that much of a premium in the secondary market. I don't see the "last side exhaust" cars pulling that much more, but I haven't been looking at that market either. I do think that the ACR is a fantastic car (regular or Final Edition), but again, the resale isn't as dramatically different between that and the GTS. You pay a $10,000 premium when new and a year later the package seems to be worth $5,000 (or less) on the secondary market. At least that is what I have seen. No dis to the ACR owners, as I would LOVE to own one (make mine sapphire blue please). If the Final Edition had the custom interior that somebody saw on a factory "mule" out in Arizona (gorgeous), then I think it would do much better. But just a red steering wheel and red shifter? Sorry, I just don't get excited about it at all.

No, if it were me I would hold onto my red GTS with silver stripes and wing, even if it pops out of gear over 3,000 RPMs. Oops, too late...
