Hmmmm. Posted this right before the server went down. Must have been wiped out.

This really lowers the clearance of the front of the car. I wouldn't lower it anymore with this mod unless it becomes a full time track car.

Thanks Jon B for the great splitter.

I've got nothing but good things to say about the Autoform splitter. I drove it street and track for thousands of miles on a severly lowered car and was impressed by it's robustness and functionality. It would scrape the entrance to turn one at TWS at well over 120mph on every lap (due to the car being lowered and the setup coming off the straight into the infield corner) and come back for more. Have the teardrop ducts on the lip been deleted in the current version?

It also makes a handy place to put a license plate attatched from underneath. I used body pins to hold mounting brackets made from gutter braces so the plate could be snapped off. Sitting back at a steep angle, taped around the edges to match the paint and deglossed with acetone it made a very dull, small and legal target that frustrated the laser cops long enough for me to drop the anchor when neccesary. The beauty was you couldn't see how it was attatched, required no holes to be drilled into the fascia, made the car plate legal and popped off at a moment's notice.

I have the same splitter on my GTS and really like it. It doesn't lower the front clearance, it just sticks out farther making speed bumps and driveways a bit of a hassel. With this splitter and my Hennessey wing the car looks a little like a 650R. Lots of onlookers think that'a what it is ( wasn't my intention - I just liked the looks of both pieces). You are going to get a lot of small chips in it just from regular driving. It seems to attract them.
Enjoy it!

The brake ducts holes were an option. Since I was never going to use them, I opted for the solid piece.

These do come painted or primed from Autoform, however, they suggest that you have them painted on your own for a better match. I don't exactly remember the cost because it's been a few months since I bought it and I am not at home, but I opted for the primered version which was a bit over $1000.00.

Bob K, you and Richard K were my inspiration. Ever since I saw your avatars and pics, I had to have one. I avoid chips by installing custom cut 3M material all over the front, and scrapes are avoided with Roe Racing chin guards below.

Very nice Ulysses! I chose the ductless variety too. See avatar. I'm trying an undersplitter to try to protect grinding the splitter off as my car is lowered. I'm working with black ABS plastic and may end up with black aluminum to match the side splitters. I'll post pics. I agree with Bob K. on the rock chips.

Thanks, John. You and Bob have the exact same spoiler combo (front and rear) that I was thinking of doing. Only, comparing yours and Bob's avatar to my pics, I think the stripes really set off that combo and that on mine it would only look OK. Gotta love the Blue and Whites. Looking forward to seeing the pics of the undersplitter.
