flood of vipers

So with nearly 800 dealers closing by mid June, a couple questions come to mind:

1) Will there be a flood of 08 vipers hitting the market?
2) Did any of the dealers order cars on spec? If so, what will happen to these cars?

I wouldn't expect a huge rash of Vipers being dumped on the market. Most of the dealers that are closing are the smaller ones that likely never even had a Viper. I had been looking to buy an 08 or 09 very recently, and knew many of the dealers that had them for sale based upon my Autotrader.com and Cars.com searches. I didn't recognize many of the names on the black list.

There will be a ton of Chargers coming up for sale real soon though

There is a really nice red '08 coupe with white stripes at Timberline Dodge in Portland. Give Russ Ficek a call about it if you're interested and let him know Martin sent you They're unfortunately on 'the list' but customers are trying to get Chrysler to reconsider. They're great to work with and their prices can't be beat.

I already pulled the trigger on a used '08. I bought Socrate's SSG black stripe 'vert I decided that I only wanted that color combo-period.

I didn't care if I could have saved a few grand by settling for a red, white, orange, or venom red car

Should have it by the end of the week according to the Reliable driver.

Thanks Bob. I'm really stoked about this purchase. I knew that if I got a Gen3 or 4 that it had to be SSG with black stripes. I actually passed on some better deals with white or silver stripes.

Buy it anyway!!! After 20 years of marriage, I have come up with one absolute. It is always easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission!!!

Yeah, you better get a good price to begin with because we all know you're going to put twin turbos and all the accompanying goodies to get that thing waaay over $150k by the time you're finished with it

I agree. After looking at the list, there are quite a few dealers on there with 08s or 09s. I know I will be trying my local Florida dealership that is near my Florida house.

there could be more than one moundir, but I wouldnt know, I never stick around long enough to find out I was just kidding about 600hp being enough
