Looking for some really nice floor mats for my red GTS. Preferably with a red viper head and / or the word "VIPER" written on the mat itself.
Recommendations where to get it.

Do yourself a big favor and order the floormats from the VCA of Northern California. The mats are awesome. They are very thick and they fill up the whole floorboard, so they don't move. I have them in both of my Vipers.

I'll tell you where NOT go get them: Viperware. After months of getting the run around, the mats finally showed up. the emblems are off center and the mats themselves are cut almost too big and fit very poorly. i have no experience with any mats other than these and I felt is was my duty to warn everyone about them.

you're welcome.

Here's my two cents on mats. I bought the CA region mats for the '94 RT that I had. The wore very quickly, and where your heels dig in..well, they were mashed down badly after a couple hour's drive. And, they would not vacuum back up. I have their cargo mat in my GTS, and while it looks great, it too mashes down far too easily. For under your feet in the front, the factory mats are the best. The newer ones with the anchor do not move around and they have a tasteful logo on them. I'd bet Tator's or Woodhouse has them, or can get them.

I got a set from Roe Racing. They do not have anything on them, just black. They look and work great! The driver's side mat does not go under the gas pedal, it is cut around it, so, there's no matting up under the gas pedal. And they are thick. I got mine free though.

We bought the CA region floor mats in 2000 and are not very happy with them. The 'embroidered' logo is right where your feet rest. It was totally gone by the second season. Even the passenger mat logo is gone. The trunk mat did not fit properly around the amp in the left corner of the trunk. It has to be folded up a couple of inches. As for quality, they are well constructed and don't slip at all. The Viper logo should have been placed back closer to the seat where your feet would very seldom touch it. All in all, a little disappointing. I'm told the newer Mopar mats, with logo, can be had for $50 or so.

Does anyone have a part number for the new style Mopar floor mats? I need some but don't want to end up with the old style.

Steve 00RT/10., I am so glad that someone finally had the same problems I did with those mats.

Bob K, if no one else posts a part number for the newer factory mats, I will do so when I get home. I bought an extra set and will get the number from the box.

I would also like to add, in my opinion, the Mopar mats wear much better, as the set that were in my 96 GTS were moved to my 2000 and only replaced because the new ones came with the anchor. They still looked great. (To make the early ones fit in the newer car I took ACR Joe's advice and loosened the hatch release..placed the mat underneath and reinstalled.)

For those buying the new style stock mats... the driver side
mat has a snap/hole near the back end of the mat towards the
seat. It comes with a snap that you screw into the carpet.
The theory is that you snap the mat to the carpet and the mat
never moves forward like the old originals do... as a suggestion
do not screw the snap into the carpet. instead take a black
nylon tie wrap and loop it into the hole on the mat. Now when
you place the mat into the car place the tie wrap loop over the
seat adjuster at the front of the seat. Adjust the loop for proper
place setting of the mat and your done. You will not be able to
see the tie wrap so it does not look bad and it works fine.
No more bunched up mat under your feet.

P.S. I also have the Precision mats for shows and stuff... I think
they are the same as Snakoyl but less $$

The number on the Mopar floor mats box is 82205815. These are for my 2000 GTS, but I know they fit later year Vipers. Double check with your Dodge dealer. I think these are very tasteful with the small silver Viper "Sneaky Pete" logo.

Chuck Tator:
If you are around, what is your price on the new Mopar floor mats (part number in post above)? Do they come with only silver logos or can you get red as well?
