YEA BABY

Herb Helbig himself stated in the article for
AW that the new 2008 ACR is faster then
stock 2008 coupe. He also quoted
times in mid to low 11's for 1/4 mile, I think
he wants one of us to have the honors of
having a run in the 10's:drive::2tu:.

QUOTE FORM HERB

" DRAG DOESN'T EVIDENT ITSELF IN
THE QUARTER MILE. IT ACTUALLY HELPS
THE CAR STICK IN THE TOP END."

The benefit from downforce, even in the straight-line top end (traction), seems to confirm an earlier post about the power from this 8.4L, in that it's been compared to a VTEC V10, with power that keeps coming on stronger in the higher revs ...

Would changing the compression and rebound settings help - and if so - what settings would be best to help launch vs the set-up for the street?

I would guess backing off the compression as well as taking some pressure out of the cannisters, at least for Motons. Adjusting the pressure in the Motons actually acts much like more or less spring rate.

You wouldn't happen to know a good way to adjust and measure the pressure in the Moton's by chance do you :D ?

Didn't think drag would affect a car much in the quarter mile, anyway. Doesn't seem like aerodynamics play a big part until speeds over 120mph or so. I'd think the 40lbs it dropped would be more significant than its coefficient of drag.

Wanted, when are you taking yours to the track???
