Howdy boys & girls, spring has sprung & we are getting ready for another great viper season. There is plenty of action so lets get started.
First off we have some nominations for the new board of directors & they are:
For president: Dave Garrett, Tom Wilson , Wayne Carrel
for Vice President: Dave Garrett, Tom Wilson , Wayne Carrel, Joe dell
For treasurer : Scott Ross, Tom Wilson, Eyal Yarden
For Secretary: Joe Dell, Eyal Yarden
In the past we sent ballots out to all members, but in reality not every member is an active member. We also had a vote many years ago @ a special meeting. I am open to all suggestions on this matter so please let me know your views.

The time is later than usual to allow for traffic.. They have decent parking & we can use the DOT lot as long as you don't block the entrance.Dinner is on the club for members & you buy your own drinks.

4/24 & 4/25 Drift Atlanta Event @ Road Atlanta this promises to be an awesome new event @ road Atlanta, featuring Drifting, the new craze that isn't too new for Viper owners, we drift every time we take off from a light! there is also a non points round of the Speed World challenge as well as some other pro races. I will be there in the new Loansquick Pro Spec Miata as well as a pro IT race featuring our own Dave Garret! here is some info:
Road Atlanta will host the inaugural Formula Drift® Series event as part of a new import tuner focused weekend called Drift Atlanta® that also will include two invitational SCCA SPEED World Challenge Touring races, and a Mazda Extreme Street import car show.
The Mazdaspeed Miata Cup, Formula Ford Zetec Championship, and SCCA Pro-IT series will also be part of the Drift Atlanta®, April 24-25, at Road Atlanta. Lifestyle marketing events including a concert and extensive vendor displays will also be included.
Announced as a four-event Championship in 2004, SCCA Pro Racing will sanction the Formula Drift® Series, which will be promoted by Irvine, Calif.-based Slipstream Global. Slipstream was responsible for the first professional drifting event in North America, the 2003 D1 Grand Prix at Irwindale, CA, and is the management company for the Mazda Extreme Street import car show.
Drifting is a high-skill, high-powered motor sport that calls for drivers to control a car while it slides sideways at high speed through a marked course. It is similar to rally racing, but is done on a closed, paved course. It is judged on execution and style rather than just time

Grassroots motorsports magazine is hosting a club day @ the track this weekend with car corrals & host of other activities,We need 15 cars to attend to get our own corral, lets get this together: Here is the Venue for all you car polishers out there as there is a concourse judging on Saturday.
