Gen I smokes highly modded GenII

last week I beat a Gen.II with a bigger shot of nitrous(150 compared to my 135),cam,heads,rear end,headers,ect..ect.. This car is known around here as one of the fastest vipers with the most mods. of any local viper. He has a dyno pull of 640 hp at the rear wheels ,and I beat him by 7 car lenghts, ( his estimate from the video that his buddy shot) with my Gen. I. I raced him twice and same result.I got better traction on the start with my Khumo tires but I thought he would still catch me. How can this be??????????

Never underestimate the power of the mighty GenI. But then again I own a '94 so I am fan. Don't know either driver but that can make a huge difference.

Texas toast eh,most impressive thing you can do is go to the race track and post your times.Running on the street doesn't mean your car is faster,just you.If you get the bust,thats 3+cars at the top end,if his pilots aren't new,thats another 1/2 second or 3+ cars.Another NOS kill

Yeah, you can't really know who's faster timewise, but if you guys had a fair start and you won, then you won. That's how I look at it. He may have more HP, but if he can't drive, it doesn't men much. He may have had bald tires while you had fresh ones, but who's fault is that? I really like street racing, but on the other hand, you and I both know it's not the most accurate way to do it. I sorta like having the computer that tells me who took off first and who really won. The times don't lie. My 2 cents

He had Mich. Pilots in good shape and runs 11.5 at the track with those tires.

But 7 cars? There's no way that's possible. NO WAY! It's not even possible for you to have won in the 1st place but you obviously are a much better driver! Heads, Cam, Rear End & a 150 shot vs. your bolt-ons and a 135 shot? That guy clearly can't drive at all!! He must've been granny shiftin <u>and</u> missin EVERY gear.


The reason that I say this, other than the obvious reasons, is because I raced a good friend a couple weeks ago that has your same set-up, but his is a Gen II GTS, T&Ds, 3.45's, drag radials, & a 200 Shot & I beat the crap out of him!! BAAAD! I only had a 150 shot then too - not a 200! Driving skills are the same.

11.5 with his mods is sad. Just the gas should get him in the low 11's. Add heads/cam and that drops to 10's. Good kill but you don't have a chance against Trey.
