Hi, guys,
What is the difference in the amount of nitrous a Gen I can handle vs. a Gen II? I understand that the later Gen II's with cast pistons cannot handle as large a shot, but what about the Gen I's vs. Gen II's with forged pistons? Any personal experience would be great - Tom, Albert, Tooofst? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Scott,
Thanks for the reply. I was thinking more along the lines of a two-stage system, starting at 150 or 175 and then adding in another 100 shot for a total of 250-300 on the second stage. Would this be too much on a Gen I? Thanks.

I'll have the exact answer next weekend at the Supercarchicago Shootout when I hit it hard with some Purner slicks and skinnies.I would hit the 100shot 1st,then blast the 150,much easier on the motor.I'm interested in making faster street drivable vipers, more show and go.You can't win at the track, just have some fun.

In respect to motor life,100 rwhp is no sweat for any year viper motor. This is providing you dyno your car and keep your fuel on the rich side. You can always jump a couple jet sizes for a track day,no problem.Msd sets up a window switch that will safeguard against missed shifts.Set up a cool looking purge,and/or any system with a TOOFAST bracket, its all good!

I have a 94 with a NX system ,I am currently spraying 200 with no problems. I went three heat ranges colder on the plugs.my motor has been re-done including the new 4 layer steel head gaskets.I will be spraying 300 this week with the aid of the NX digital maximizer ( actually outperforms dual stage kits)the gen I has a 266lph fuel pump which can accomodate about 750 hp. if you already have alot of upgrades, you may need to upgrade your pump.I'll let you know how the maximizer works.
