Doing a tranny fluid change on my '09. I got 3.6L out but only was able to put 3.2L in before it started running out the fill hole.

Anyone know what the fluid capacity is? I want to make sure I have it properly filled.

Per the 2009 Viper service Manual CD:

"The transmission is full when the fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill hole." using ATF+4, of course. However, the capacity is not listed. Searched the rest of the CD with no luck. The tranny fluid capacity is NOT listed in the 2008 Owners' Manual either.

NOTE: For the T-6060 trannies, the torque on BOTH the drain AND fill plugs is listed as 20 ft. lbs...27 N-m (as opposed to the two different values published for the T-56 trannies).

Of further NOTE...the 2009 CD lists the oil filter with an INCORRECT part number ( listed on the CD as 05037836AA...which is the Gen I-III filter...and fortunately it WILL NOT FIT on a Gen IV. The CORRECT Gen IV part number is 05038041AA...which DOES FIT).

Finally found fluid capacity for the Viper T-6060 transmission on the 2008 Service Manual CD:

8.24 pints or 3.9 liters of ATF+4.

Just a idea for your next trans fluid change. Try the Motul ATF. Have see many 6060s that have shift issues. A service with the Motul fluid makes it shift like a totally different trans. You can get the fluid from Archer Racing in Duluth.

That's what I put in and that's where I got it. :D

So any opinions on the disparity between what I got out and what I was able to put in? Do I need to jack one side of the car up a little higher and put more fluid in? I filled it while on my lift so it should have been fairly level.
