Well guys and gals, it has finally happened. Today I drove a 2001 RT/10 and loved it. I will say that again, I loved it. I have always said that you don't need windows, ABS, A/C, airbags, etc. The car is so much more refined than the Gen1, I was amazed! My wife has always hated my car, she says that it is to loud and drives like a 30 year old truck with worn shocks. Part of me agrees with her and I have always wanted her to like the Viper but to no avail. We talked tonight and we are about to become a 2 Viper family for a while. I am going to list my Gen1 for sale but in the mean time am going to buy a Gen2. I have been busy since getting home and found this car and was wondering if anyone knows the previous owner. http://dodgevipersforsale.com/00rtred.htm
I will be calling Woodhouse and Roanoke in the morning as well but this one looks pretty nice.
Also, what years were the forged internal cars? That will be a factor as well as I will be installing a Paxton blower.
So if anybody is interested in a a very clean and modded 94, let me know. Mine is for sale.

IMO, go for a 1999 and get the forged internals and 18" rims. I like the extra rumble of the 708 cam and the quicker throttle response. You won't get the ABS though.

IEATVETS,

Ever since I bought my GTS last Nov. I have always loved what you have done to your car both cosmetically and mechanically. I am actually looking for a GEN I, low miles, completely stock, but now you have piqued my interest with yours going up for sale. I'll PM you my number so we can talk. Nice to know you're also an IL. VCA member.

DodgeVipersfprsale.com is where I bought my car from. Call Marvin Rose (the owner) and I am sure he will give you the name and number of the previous owner. He is a good guy.

PM sent Jeff.
I just got off the phone with Marv, really nice guy. They also have a a 2000 (I think) with headers and a Paxton already installed. BUT it has cast pistons. Now I don't know what to do. It brings up the controversy about how much boost can cast pistons handle? UGH!! Maybe I will just stick to a forged motor. Either way, I should have 2 Vipers in the garage before next weekend!!

Thanx for the offer Scotty but I am not very big on the looks and styling of the Gen3's. I have driven a supercharged 04 and while I was very impressed with every aspect of the car besides the looks, I will not buy one. And yes Peter, I am leaning towards an 01.
