There comes a time when partings become necessary. As much as it pained me, this was one of those times. You showed me fresh horizons and introduced me to a whole new world of friends. You put more smiles on strangers faces than I could possibly have imagined. I suspect there are over 120 Polaroid pictures of you on various bedroom walls from adoring fans that got to know you personally. There are countless other pictures taken by hundreds of other cameras around the country. Not only will you live forever in my memory, but you have been immortalized by many. I made sure to take one last picture before you left me:

I want to thank my car for providing 25,407 INCREDIBLE miles of nonstop fun and enjoyment. We laughed, we cried, and we shared the best of times. I know she will enjoy her new home in Georgia. I would ask everyone to welcome our newest Viper owner, Mr. David Grindstaff. He is the very proud owner of a stunning black and silver 2000 GTS. I hope he enjoys that car as much as we have.

Now we begin the wait for the black SRT/10. I have a spot waiting!

Chris

PS. And now to come up with a new moniker...

Hey bud, that must have been hard, when ever you get too lonely feel free to vist the twin that was inspired by your posts. Perhaps if your new owner does not bring your departed to VOI8 you can take mine around the track a few times for old times sake. That's the least I could do for the guy that inspired me to take the leap!

That is one solid GTS, I hope David treats him with care. I feel a special affinity for that car since we shared some good times too. Good luck with the new SRT Chris, see ya later

Chris,

That looks like the inside of a garbage truck. Why did you crush it?

PS: You guys that don't have stripes runnning thru the license plate recesses are driving inferior cars. ha ha ha!

Please! Even you know that the blue and white 97 GTS is the improved version of your car.

Chris,

It sounds like your Viper was everything that it was supposed to be (as mine has been as well), and now you are headed for a new Viper adventure.

It's good to read that this is just a Viper-transition rather than a loss/accident.

Sooner than you think you will be experiencing the waves, smiles, and picture snaps in your new snake.

Chuck 97 would know. He is very good at maxing the performance of a Viper while driving it up and down the driveway.

Hmmmm. I'm pretty much "in the loop" on such matters, but I've NEVER heard that one.
