I have learned a lot over the last 20 years working with Viper clutches and have developed some really nice clutch options with McLeod Racing in the past few years. We now have dual disc clutches for all generations of Viper's 1992-2104.

These are not racing clutches, so they don't have the drawbacks of those systems, but they can certainly hold up to race use and depending on how we have them built, can handle up to 2000hp. We developed these clutch systems to act like OE systems, but able to take whatever you want to put down. My main goal working with McLeod on this was to create a clutch with a light pedal, smooth engagement, quiet operation and a affordable price point . All our clutches come complete with the flywheel (light flywheel options available).

All of our clutches are built to order, specifically for your application. These are not "off the shelf " McLeod units, but specially built for SPT with two different types of friction materials depending on your torque load. The disc hubs are sprung with excellent release qualities, floaters are double strapped for high torque load on acceleration, deceleration and quiet operation. ARP hardware is used.

We have tested the heck out of these at the drag strip, road course and drift courses. They can take a tremendous amount of abuse with perfect repeatability.

Our Gen 4-5 Dual disc diaphrgam clutch is a pretty slick unit, its modular, so the flywheel is built in. It just bolts to your flywheel, so no need for a new flywheel. It weighs the same as the stock clutch so there are no issues with check engine lights. We wanted a better offering than the production Sach's dual disc, which will not hold up under hard use and has had issues with floater straps breaking. Our standard clutch is rated at 750ftpds torque and is a great stock replacement. Our extreme version is rated for 950ftpds torque and is great for those forced induction and drag race applications.

Our Gen 1-3 dual disc diaphragm options come with a complete flywheel and ring gear (light flywheel option available). Standard and Extreme options are also available.

For the SRT Ram folks, we offer the same choices with an additional hydraulic upgrade kit.

For those who have over 1000hp, we still offer the tried and true Borg and Beck dual disc clutch. It has a heavy pedal, but it's the only clutch we have ever been able to put behind a 2000hp drag Viper without a hiccup.

If you are looking for a clutch with a soft pedal, smooth engagement, no rattle, and can take whatever you want to put to it, we have an option for you.

Pricing:
All clutch prices include flywheel.
Gen 4-5 Standard (modular flywheel) $1190.00
Gen 4-5 Extreme (modular flywheel) $1600.00
Gen 1-3 Standard w flywheel $1400.00
Gen 1-3 Extreme w flywheel $1600.00
Gen 1-3 BB Extreme 2000hp w flywheel $2100.00
Clutches are built to order and usually ship in two days.

Flywheels are steel with an aluminum option (SFI). The Gen 4-5 clutch is modular with the friction plate built in, you use your stock flywheel but the clutch plate does contact it.
