Hi All,

I'm working with RACECARS aka Dave Cawthorne, on a group buy for his oil pan gate kit. These are Gen II only but two different styles, one for 96-99 8.5 qts, and 2000-2002 10 qts, either one at the same low price. Paypal or checks. I can do credit cards but would have to charge $6.50 (actual transaction fee) each if someone really wants to do that.

The kit can be seen @ http://vca2.viperclub.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB24&Number=602829&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

If we can get 10 total buyers the price will be reduced to $175 (nearly 12.5% savings) with shipping at $10 each.

I think we can all realize the benefits of this kit if we track our cars.

Let me know if you're interested. I'd like to wrap this up quickly before Christmas so that I can install mine during the break. Lead time is 2 to 3 weeks. That means we need 9 more buyers ;)

Please send me private mail to [email protected] if your interested and I'll work out the final details.

Thanks,
Carl

Cat, is this just the gate or a whole new pan? Also, since we have to take our pan off to insall does it come with a new gasket or do we purchase separately? Thanks man. I'll let you know if I'll take one as soon as I finish my Christmas shopping (few days).

just the gate kit, use in your original pan. Original gasket should be reusable.

Though the gasket is certainly designed to be reused, I have found damage to the area around the oil channel every time it's been removed, in fact enough damage that I was not comfortable reusing. Not uncomfortable about leaks, but concerned that since it was in the suction channel area it would pull air rather than oil. If it did, there might not be any symptoms (until it was too late) as the oil pressure guage is too dampened to oscillate.

Better safe than sorry with a $17k engine versus a $150 gasket. I suggested having a spare OP gasket available anytime the pan is removed.

OK...

I talked to Dave and asked him for some help. He's said than anyone that signed up by COB next Monday he'll throw in free shipping. Those that have signed up get that deal also.

If your on the fence....this should help.

We need 5 more to make the GP happen. Everyone needs this! :)

I guess people rather pay $250-$300(includes Viper Tax) than our deal. :(

For those that did reply  they will get the deal, even though the 10 deal didn't get met

Thanks to those who are buying( without the Viper Tax)
