GT2 vs. GTSR

what's the difference? I know they only made 100 GT2's and I remember seeing a GTSR at an auto show. Is the GT2 just a street legal form of the GTSR?

The GT2 was a street legal version of the GTS-R that was made to commemorate the success of the GTS-R in racing.

In my humble opinion, there is NO camparison between the two...GT2 was a sharp looking, limited edition, GTS made to commerate a given car/circumstance. GTSR was a purpose built REAL race car at about 4-5 times the price of a GT2 (GT2's list was around $84,500.00...some sold at a premium). Others can offer much more info.

Could the GTSR only be purchased for racing like the upcoming Competition Coupe?
