GTS running pretty good, brakes ****!

I got the GTS running pretty good and decided to take to a country road and jump on it a little. Got it up to a quick 100mph and was coming up on the end of the road and put on the brakes hard and it wasn't slowing down as much as I wanted and was used to with my Z06. I did a search and noticed there was a lot of threads on this subject. What's the cheapest best fix for this (besides not driving fast and hitting the brakes). I want to make it as safe as I can but with all the fixes I've had to do since I got it last week, I'm running out of money. It's still starting hard so I might have to replace the fuel pump too. If anyone has a good cheap place for that, please let me know also.

You have three options:

1. Tom's 40mm upgrade
2. Dave's Big Brake kit (front calipers go to the back, front gets SRT10 setup)
3. Big Brake kit from Stoptech or similar.

With budget in mind, I think Tom's are your best bet.

Did you do anything to the brakes?

I replaced the rotors and pads on one of mine and it stopped like CRAP! Way worse than it did before I made the change.

No I just got it last week. It has 7000miles on it so I'm sure the pads are originals. Someone said to take the spring and O ring out of the proportional valve?

2> $2000.00 Installed many, NICE kit!
3> $4000.00 Waste of money!! And it is the same as Dave's brake kit!

Go with 1 or 2.
