As many of you know DC Performance has long been one of a few companies capable of tuning the JTEC controllers used in the Viper, Viper truck and other Dodge product. In the past we have either programmed your computer or sold you a new one. Now thanks to the aftermarket we can provide you with a hand held flash programmer that will allow you to put our DC flash into your car, without buying a new computer or sending us yours. It even gets better, here are some more features:

1. You can have up to three tunes in the hand tool, which you can select,
Pump gas, Race gas or Valet. You can even put your program back to
stock if you wish.

2. There may be some end user availability, rev limit, speed limit, timing etc.
This is not confirmed yet. There may also be some data logging capability.

Soon software will be available for many shops to tune these vehicles. What will set DC Performance apart from others are our many years of previous knowledge and the ability to give the best calibration. Our pricing will be very competitive.

We will be one of the first to offer this, please stay tuned for more information.

SO NICE to hear good ol' American 'puters will finally be catching up to the German Motronic and its ability to flash in various programs. I used to have a 2001 Audi S4 with the twin turbo V6 and I had a "4-slot" computer where I had: the stock program for service visits, a 91 octane program for regular driving, a 93 octane program where I could blend 91 and 100 to get a little more grunt, and a 100 octane program because I have a station less than two miles from my house that has 100 at the pump (you can even pay at the pump with your credit card!). The way you switched the programs was via pressing the cruise control set button and holding it until the check engine light flashed in a 1, 2, 3 or 4 time sequence per two second circuit. It was awesome, and of course you could get a "downloading cable" from the writer and load it onto your computer yourself over the internet. BRING IT ON! I want to utilize the close 100 octane with some serious timing advance. Dan how is the switching going to be accomplished?

Also interested. I assume you will offer the same service as far as fine tuning goes. Will we have to send the programer back to you or will you be able to e-mail the files to us?

We are currently testing the new SCT software and will have our current programs available in about a week (With the programmer). What is going to set us apart from the other tuners will be the calibrations. The new software is limited, but our knowledge from the past allows us to provide you with more comprehensive calibrations.

Our pricing and options will be announced as soon as our testing is completed.

At this time, you will have to send the programmer back to us for updating. Hopefully soon, SCT will get their LiveLoad program working for the DCX programmer. This utility allows an end user to upload calibrations to their handheld via e-mail, thumb drive, etc, without having the tuning software. SCT already has this for their Ford and GM handhelds, so it should just be a matter of time before they have this working.

Dan, As stated before I am very interested in this unit. As you may remember we talked about knocking accruing on my 2003 after Connecticut switched over th E10 Fuel. I had told you that all the different octane boosters I tried did not solve the problem and you said that you would need to remove 1 degree of timing to solve the problem. In your earlier post you has indicated that this new programmer would be able to perhaps adjust this timing. Please send me an email when these are available along with the cost for the programmer only as I already have your custom tune as I will be on vacation for the month of September. By the way I found a new Octane Booster and it works great so far. It is made by CRC and is a Marine Octane Booster, Part # 06067.
