Sunday turned out to be a beautiful day in the North East For a cruise. Had 6 vipers turn out all of which were red (2 red FE's, 2 Red GTS's, 1 Gen I red with stripes, And a Red SRT). Also had some other cool fast cars with us. Got to drive my buddy's Supra with a T-78 single turbo, WOW the boost was fun and insanely fast.
Here are some pics of Lauri's Private race track Route 125 up to Shamokin. All in all nice fun drive with the highlight of the trip stopping in the stinky coal burning town of Centralia. Ok it was not that Exciting!
It was nice meeting everyone and it was cool of those who drove from farther away to get together. Looking forward to Chucks BBQ and getting together soon to do this again.

Thanks ED.
It was a great cruise!
Looked like everybody had tons of fun, inspite the sulfur smelling ghost town Centralia. (Which was our destination!)

Here's a link to Centralia for anyone who is not familiar of its past. The coal mines have been burning underneath the city for over 40 years.

We'll meet before Tators B-B-Q.

good time and beleive it or not when I pulled in my drive way to clean the wheel dust off and got back in to pull the car in the garage the battery was dead. Could not even jump start, I guess when it goes its done. But don't worry I had my sweety push me in the garage. What a keeper. I guess its time for a red top. I did get 5yrs out of the original battery though. Glad it didn't happen on the way to Tator's.
See you guys and gals in a week or two. :2tu:

Had a great time, sorry I had to break off early and head back. Looking forward to the next run (Tators). I was also thinking that a trip to Reading out Skyline drive to the Pagoda and Fire tower would be awesome. It would take us out Duryea Rd where they run the hillclimb.
Thanks Again

My B&M shifter was indeed coming apart. Too bad, since I really wanted to go on the RT 339. If you think RT125 is twisty, you need to see 339.... Elevation is not the same, but this is the place where I "play" with the bikes.
I was able to hit 120-130 on those climbs up the hill.

What a blast! (and the Vette stayed behind me...)
Best of all, since this is a closed track, you can doo all this and get the car airborne on the downhill bumps too! :D :D :D :D :D :headbang: :headbang:

Who let "Flex" in the pics?

LOL

What's the deal with the smoke coming from underground?

Smoke is coming from Coal fires burning under ground for the past 35 years. They can't put them out. The town has mostly been evacuated and the buildings bulldozed down.

How did the SRT-4 fare?

The SRT-4 was Jamie Parkers sons car as they rode together in it. I was pretty impressed with it! I think his son ran a 13.6 while it was stock, and has since done some work on it making it a stage I. I would be interested to see the numbers when he gets it back to the track.
I think it was the second loudest car of the bunch, with Lauri's 93 RT being louder.

Does anybody know Andy that was there with the 04 SRT, I was talking to the dealer, and there is a recall for an electrical problem similiar to the one he had when we first started.
