Be careful buying a Viper from Florida. Ask to talk to the original owner to verify infomation about the car. If there is a problem with that, walk away.

Sh.. , I was hopeing to find a viper for my sons graduation, here is what he said to the question about contacting the previous owner:

The car was a dealer trade in, I never met, nor do I have the original owner's phone number...with all do respect, if I had the ability to contact the previous owner, I couldn't give his phone # out just as a matter of respect to his privacy....imagine every person interested in the car calling him..I have received close to 30 inquiries on this car already...at least 1/2 have asked to contact the previous owner..truly a valid request, however that amount of calls to that person would not be a fair deal..hope you understand

not sure what the problem would be with a Florida car.
There a alot of vipers in florida.

Try to do a carfax.

Only thing from the pics that I noticed was the inner front fenders were gloss black. I don't know, but if it were a Gen II they would be dull. It could mean nothing, and I may be wrong for gen I, just an observation.

Seems nice looking for the price!

i saw that too, but also noticed that the seller kinda went crazy with the polish and the armorall on the tires for the picture, and was wondering if he sprayed the inner fenders too. ??

Price does not seem to bad. I can see paint blemished, but it is a 95 with 40K plus :)

Looks like the sills have see repair (black to shiny and protective film missing), I think I saw a bubble in one of the pics. All the other paint blemishes I see are mainly on the nose and pass door pics. I do not think they are bugs since I think the car has a detail job done just before pics. Did he use a gallon of armour all? Never saw front wheel wells quite like that!

Have a FL Viper guy check it out, of course that is a gamble, if it is good at that price they may buy it out from under you.

i bought my Viper in Fl, i took it to Scott at Vipers by Elite, i know some people here dont like him, but i looked the car over good, and Scott put it up on a lift and checked out. It can be pretty easy to tell if the car has been in an accident, and if you cant tell........then it probably doesnt matter anyway!

People made me gun shy about a FL car too, because its supposed to be easy for a dealer to "wash" a wrecked title, and carfax wont show anything if its been washed.

IMHO, if you think its a good car at a good price, then at least go look at it, or bid on it, if you find the car is "not as described" then you have the legal righ to back out of the ebay transaction.

Does this picture look like their is clearcoat peeling or a deep scrape? Even look at the door. Lots of scratches, maybe original paint.

I see a lot of reflections... a porch on a 2nd floor and driveway cracks.

IMO i think its a nice car at a nice price! I'll be your son if you buy it for me LOL. I like my 99 better but for a 95 i think its bad ass and i'm sure your son would freakin love that car!! I say do a carfax and try to have someone in Flordia check it out for you.

I'm amazed it is still available. I'm assuming there are no other similar RT's available for less than $30k and if I was the bidder at $28K, I would be the buyer at $30K as I don't think this auction will last another 3 days.
