The tabs I'm talking about are the ones on the fender wells to access the lights. Mine broke off and any repairs or replacements?

Adam,
Don't know about your question, but based on your Avatar, you should change your screen name to:

Hey Janni...I rule the side walks where I live..I don't rule the roads..but there's little to no competition on sidewalks except little old ladies..they don't give me too much trouble when they se the space shuttle coming! ha!

Yeah, Tony..it;s the black plastic screws...they twist and break. Is there a cool repair for them? I think I'm going to have to drill out the plastic tabs.

Adam, if you are lucky, look underneath the fender where the screws would come out. They do stick out a bit, take some vise grips and grab the tightly and remove them towards the bottom. This will help instead of drilling them out.

PS...turn them as if you are tightening them.

ab, Mine were completely seized at the top of the panel where the threaded end protrudes into the wheelwell. I think the metal threaded nut corrodes because its exposed to the water and road junk. I soaked mine in WD40 for a few days and then using a heat gun gently warmed them while loosening and tightening a little at a time. They can twist by almost a full turn without the threaded section turning but eventually came out without breaking. I reinstalled them with lots of grease. I had to be really careful because the chance of describing and then obtaining those screws from the UK dealership is probably less than zero !

The most likely scenario is that the wheel well panel has moved a bit and put stress on the plastic screw, causing it to bend at a strange angle and making it hard to turn. You can GENTLY press down or lift up on the wheel well panel (depending on how the screw is bent) and it should be cake from there. It is usually the outer screw that gets bent the most. Remove the easiest ones first, which should give you more play with the hardest one.
