Has anyone does this? I have a Sapphire car and was looking to get this done. I was thinking of either red or chrome. Any pictures would be greatly appricated.

Thanks in advance

Keith

Keith,

Back when I bought my '01 I decided to do the same. I looked into painting the side/rear scripts but did not because we could not get the paint to adhere correctly to the plastic. Just ordered the color I wanted(black) and had them put on. As a matter of fact I did the same thing with the SRT.
Be careful taking the old ones off. Pre-heat a little and dental floss works great on getting them off the car. Others on the site probably have better ways to remove.

Same here, chrome from West Coast. They are not raised. Personal preference surely.

Warm the old letter up and use dental floss. Works like a charm. Some of the guys take the raised letters and put them on the sill covers. Looks smashing but requires patience. Some of my letters broke upon removal.

I took my side lettering all off and painted them with photochromic (color shifting) paint. But it didn't look that great against the blue paint and so I went with the chrome lettering in the end.

Don't know about other years, but you can get the Red Letters by purchasing the
97 Red letters and just put them on.

The chrome badges/lettering came with the car. You have a 2001 Sapphire Blue? All Sapphire Blue Vipers came with chrome badges.

Tator's Dodge 914-763-3136. Talk to Chuck.
This is the way to go. Call Chuck and you'll get 20% off and they will be there in a day or two!

Easy to apply as they come pressed between 2 sheets precisely lined up. You just take off the bottom and press on, while the top sheet holds them in allignmnet.

That's one of the things I liked about the 2002 Metalic Graphite RT/10. The side lettering is already chrome raised. No need to take off and reapply something else...

Dear King GTS:

The letters that are only on this side are chrome when they come from the factory. I want the back and sides in one color. Leaning more towards red or maybe the chrome.

You can't hardly read rear lettering on a Sapphire....Silver would look very good...it matches the rest of the car...not a contrast!!

F355, have you found anything out. I think continuing with the chrome on the back would look pretty sharp, but like someone said just adding badges to the existing location may nake it stick out too much.

Here Are The Prices

If anyone out there is looking for the prices to get this done here they are:

Rear Bumper: Red
Dodge #GC54LV5 MSRP $30.75
Viper RT/10 #GC43LV5 MRSP $61.85

Front Fender: Red
Viper RT/10 #GC53WRR MSRP $76.75 each

Total for doing it to the whole car is $246.10 - 20% off = $196.88.

They are a bit pricey but hey if you want it done then I guess you will be willing to pay it. Let me know what you guys think.
