Looks like they have CUSTOM FIT pieces for Viper hood, mirrors, lower trim, headlights, etc. with chart (stars) indicating level of install difficulty. I've seen the 3M products but this is new. Looks and reads impressive with the wide range of coverage and guarantees.
Thx for any feedback....

Marv,

I have the full kit on my car. All I can say is make sure you get a experienced professional to install the kits. Once the kit is on, you can not see it.

I paid about $1200 for the front hood upto the louver vents, bumper, air dam, mirrors, head and fog lights, behind all four wheels, door edges, full side sills and under filler door.

I like the fact that I can just wipe off the bugs on the front with windex and not have to wash the whole car. Plus you do not have to worry about the bra flapping above 140 mph.

Good Luck,
ROB

No, but I will now. I have used the 3M in rolls, and it was easy to install, but time consuming. This pre cut kit looks great, because I had to use a razor to cut part way though the rolls, WHILE on the car, which gave me the creaps. Thanks for finding this.

Joe this is in the FAQ section of the XPEL site:

Can it be removed?
Yes. It can be removed easily and will not damage the paint. To remove the film, you must heat the surface to
approximately 150°F while working a corner of the film with your fingernail. Once you have enough of the material
free from the surface to hold on to, slowly pull the film from the paint.

Will my paint fade differently under the shield than it does on the rest of the car?
No. The material does contain an inhibitor to prevent the plastic from reacting to the sun's UV rays, but this does
not prevent the UV rays from passing through the plastic into your paint.

Nothing about residue.

It does say that you can apply any polish or wax to the film which will actually help increase its lifespan.

My 97 GTS came with something like this on it. Might be the same stuff. I primarily track the GTS and it works well. I don't know if I would use it on my street car, but anything is better than those ugly bras!
