Having trouble with pm notification e-mails

In my profile I clicked the option to alert me of new *** by e-mail, but whenever I get a pm my hotmail account automatically puts it in the unwanted mail box. I tried to fix this thing several times but it just keeps coming back ??? Every time I correct this issue with other e-mail addresses I don't have any problem anymore after that.
When trying to solve things I get a message saying "the necessary information of the "from" line of this message is missing or damaged. the options for the unwanted mail filter can not be adjusted without this information. this message is transfered to your IN message box".
Apparently the forum doesn't like hotmail accounts or is it me personally

Hot mail *****. Sign up for gmail. It works perfect and even automatically sorts the responses into color coded folders so everything stays together. If you need and invite email me at lee.stubberfield (at) gmail.com and I will shoot you one.
