:usa: We recently did some tuning on a 2000 GTS with good results. The vehicle came in with some brand X ported heads and a mild 224/224 Comp Cam. Baseline was 513HP & 522 TRQ Comp recommends thier Cams at a 110 degree centerline, but we prefer around 117degree. We changed the cam timing and power went to 554HP and 529 TRQ. Next we installed our Stage 3 CNC ported heads. Final numbers were 580HP & 556TRQ. Very respectable gains for a mild cam and heads, running through CATS. :usa:

Dan,

As I'm currently researching head/cam packages, this post was timely.

You regularly post the before/after dyno results of your customer's upgrades, and while I can't speak for anyone else, I just want you to know that I'm certain it is appreciated by many of the readers; it certainly is by me. It would be great if all the tuners did this on a regular basis. Makes the decision process much easier for the consumer.

Thanks for your efforts and informative posts.

Thanks for the interest. The price of the package depends on what the car is used for (racing or street) and what parts are required (many of you have headers and other components all ready). Our cylinder head packages are on the website. If anyone is interested, please feel free to call me and I can send you a detailed estimate.

Dan,

Awesome numbers!

Is this a stock displacement engine? You said you changed the "cam timing". Did you change the centerline or advance the cam?

What engine management system are you using, stock or otherwise? If otherwise, can the set-up you describe be run using the factory controller and no other controllers?

Tommy, I emailed DC. I've been thinking about this type of setup for a while. You don't know it yet, but you'll be doing my install :)
