After the car is warm, when I come to a stop and push in the clutch the car shuts off. This is a little embarrassing when you are driving a VIPER! Can anyone give me some advise? Thanks, Dave

I guess you push the clutch before you come to a stop?
Car should be idling. Any error codes (first step!)? If not, go to a "friendly" DC dealer and let read out the codes...

How does it idle? Is it erratic when you come to a stop(jumping from 0 to 1000 then back to 0)? I have had this happen to me a couple of times, just disconnect the computer for 10 minutes(right side of the engine compartment, by heater box). This resets the computer and the problem should go away, orked for me.

My viper has an aftermaket alarm and if it gets set off a certain way it will kill the car every few minutes. All you have to do is diconect the battery cable and reconnect to reset this. If you don`t have factory alarm you might want to check that.

Try having all the values reset first. That should help. Also depending on the mileage, the throttle bodies may need service and you may need to clean the idle speed motor pintle. Or the idle motor might be bad, bad battery, etc., there's a number of thing it could be. I'd reset it and see how it does first. dj

I've had the same thing happen with my '96 RT/10. My Viper Tech said it was because the car had sat for so long bettery voltage likely dropped to the point where the computer needed to relearn the idle settings. I really haven't had the time to drive it regularly to find out if he is right or not. In the meantime I put the car on a Bettery Tender in hopes of keeping the battery fully charged.

Please post if you find your problem is not related to battery voltage.

I car starts and runs fine until its warm, It idles fine but as soon as you push the clutch in before you come to a stop it dies! I made an appointment at the local dealer so I will keep you posted.
