I am suppossed to attend a local car show tomorrow and you are required to disconnect your battery. Is my only option to remove the left rear wheel when I get there to disconnect the battery? Was hoping there was some way to disconnect the battery from the engine compartment.

Not sure if this will come out right....but have you ever opened the hood?? :) Just razzin ya!! What about right there by the fuse block on driver side, disconnect the positive lead there, I think you can. (That was my best Yoda voice :) )

Technicaly, when you disconnect the red wire at the fuse box,you haven't disconnected the battery but just power to the PCM,starter and main fuse box,the + side of the battery is still connected to the fuel pump and radio amplifier.( fuse box in the trunck)

That's correct.......now everybody from that car show will know the truth :) I think for a car show the front wire will suffice (stupid rule anyway)

The rules for some car shows say that you also need to have less than 1/4 of a tank of gas. This is nade by the local fire chief for safety. I entered a show with my BMW 850 and had to do the same. I have 2 batteries (stock configuration) and they only saw one, and since they didn't know, oh well. I was't going to lose all the radio stations! :)
