You might want to contact Tremec or whoever makes the T56.

There is a slight chance they may have some advice or insight into these failures.

For one, rally guys use Mobil 1 15w50 where Dextron is used in transmissions. However, the synchronizer material must be compatible. (I believe the later material is the compatible one.)

Heat will destroy anything. Have solved many trans & diff problems by install coolers on them. The cooler setup from Chrysler works and can be adapted to anything.

Also try contacting D-C because they are probably interested in failure modes - especially at high mileage.

Don't take no for an answer when talking with D-C since there will be probably 6 departments you'll have to go thru to talk to the right people.
