Anyone use this set up and what is your opinion of it? I've searched the site for this particular combination but it seems everyone that has made exhaust modifications either changed the exhaust completely or used a cat back system. My goals are to reduce the temperatures the side sills are subjected to (cats) and change the exhaust note (rear muffler delete and cats). Would the car sound like a GO-CART if I did this?

I have stock cats and muffler delete. Removing the muffler should be a requirement for all Vipers. Sound is soooo much better. I waited a year to do it and I should've done it as soon as I bought it.

I imagine hi flows would give it a little more sound.

I did the same thing. Cut cats & rear muffler. Left the door resonators. I picked up over 14rwhp and 13rwt. Also, sounds better than any system on the market. My observation, the few that have heard it may chime in. The best part, NO more soot on the back of my car or, staggering interior heat. You will need a set of o2 simms to keep it from burning super rich & stop the dreaded check engine light.

You can find out if you like the sound pretty easy... the muffler
just unbolts from the back of the car... you should be able to
do this in about 15minutes... then drive the car a couple of
blocks to see if you like the sound... ( you will )

Search the site for folks who have taken the muffler off and installed an H pipe out the back with nice tips...

This should give you another option that works very well ....

If you have any plans to go with headers now or later then the
cat back route might be best...

In either case the car will be cooler both inside the cabin and
on the side sills...

P.S. I'd save the muffler if you take it off...
