Hood constantly open..?

I've got the battery hooked up for the winter.. I called the insurance company today Does it matter if I leave the hood open or not?

I would not leave it 100% open. I often leave mine slightly open in the front. I'm thinking it's not good for the springs and hinges to have the weight that way.

If you have the room and nobody will bang the hood you can leave it open. Look at the springs they are actually unloaded when the hood is open. But I think it wouldn't matter enough either way to be concerned about it.
