How can I tell if an engine has been replaced?

It is on the right rear of the block, go to the link Don posted above to see exact VIN locations (of all the VINS) on Vipers.

Is there a number on the engine that would match the VIN??? And if so where is the number?

If it was done by Dodge you can call your local dealer. They can pull all your repairs by your Vin #.

Seems like I looked for the VIN on the back right of the block and couldn't see it. I could see the engine numbers on the forward right side of the block.
Can anyone verify that the VIN on the back right of the engine can be seen when the car is on a lift?
