How can you tell the difference between the GEN2 headers??

I'm wondering how you can tell the difference between the GEN2 Headers. I've got a '96 GTS, and I'm interested in getting a pair of used 2000+ headers for it. What's an easy waay to tell'em apart?? Thanks !!

C'mon you Gurus............Someone must be able to tell me what the physical difference is between the '96-99, and the 2000+ Exhaust manifolds....

<FONT face="Comic Sans MS">1996 & 1997 have thin wall cast iron exhaust manifolds. 1998 on up have stainless steel shorty headers. Saves 23 lbs and adds 0 ~ 3 HP depending who you ask.

Upgrade requires 1998+ headerpipes in addition to the headers as the clamping mechanism is differant between the two versions.</FONT f>
