How do you adjust the parking brake?

My 99 GTS parking brake handle comes up high and does not feel firm as it use to. What is involved in adjusting the brake. Thanks.

Don't know if there is some sort of self adjuster, but there was a time when I pulled my ebrake up really hard and it kind of snapped and then was in a better position.

I'm with Rocket, I thought it adjusted itself. I too had mine pop while engaging and noticed its position had changed...

Yes the rear stock calipers [screw type] are self adjusting only when you use your parking brake! You can hold the release button and pull up on the parking brake 20 or 30 times and that should adjust them back up.
