How hard is it to change GTS sparkplug wires?

I got halfway down to Homestead race track tonight and my car started foiling out. I had to turn back and now I'm trying to change these spark plug wire to see if that’s the cause. Can Anybody tell me how involved this is?

I can see in my shop, with the engine running and the lights off, an arch from the first cylinder spark plug to the steel shroud around it. Not sure if I can change just that one and be heading back towards the track. Any help would be appreciated.

should be able to just change the suspect. But, you also have to question the other wires. Also, did the misfire trigger a code, causing motor to go into "limp" mode?

You have to take the windshield wipers off, then take the plastic piece off that covers the bottom edge of the windshield. I think you might have to remove part of the air conditioner intake plenum.

Use some compressed air to blow out the spark plug recesses, so debris doesn't fall into the cylinder when you take the old spark plugs out.

No, I have no warning lights coming on or codes.
I do want to change them all, I'm just trying to get it to the track by tomorrow. I'm reading in my service manual that I'll need to remove the cowl cover, which I hear is no problem. I'm just wondering if I'll run into any other surprises and how quickly it can be done.

actually just 4 screws holding on cowl cover, and three/four screws and bolts for the ac piece. As Vic said, keep debris out, and just do 1 wire at a time. really goes pretty fast.

I've got the cowl off and I'm going to change the one plug wire and see what happens.

30 min for plugs + wires + cowl cover.

15 min for plugs only.

Make sure you have a 10mm socket for the passenger side airbox-looking-thinggy... you'll want to remove that. don't even bother trying to do it w/o taking that off. trust me. BTDT...

Change them all - a tune up every 15-20k does make a noticable difference. The hardest part is sticking your hand down behind the motor to the 'distributor.' DC wires are marked so the process is dirt simple.

i changed all 10 of mine without removing anything but the plugs, i used a swivel and worked great, took about 20-30 minutes

I haven't tried on my GTS but on my Gen I, I couldn't do it. I had to get someone with smaller arms to reach back do it. My pythons are too massive.
