My Viper which is a 1998 GTS runs from the middle to the 3/4th mark. It really never got past that...but I don't like it running hot...I think I will need to get the bigger fan and radiator.

When I park my viper, I always use a fan to blow air into the front of the viper. I got a fan for 30 bucks from walmart..high volume air circulator..seems to work well. I hate to hear that crackling noise from the heat when I park it.

Welcome to the family and you may also think about buying the Dodge Viper Fan Control Kit from www.roeracing.com. Sean Roe (and Becky) are great to work with and take the time to help you out. Good luck with your baby.

To measure the temp correctly, use software that monitors the water temp in the car. Your gauge is not tremendously acccurate, and we have seen a few cars of late that the gauge was definitely off.

Better yet.... come down to the shop and we can take a peak at it. I'll be more than happy to plug in the scanner software, go on a quick ride with you, and then you'll know for sure. We have already seen a few cars with the faulty water pumps.

When you come down, you can see some Vipers going through some LETHAL transformations. We have the 1st (#1) Daytona 24 special edition Viper getting the LETHAL 650, and few others as well. In addition, we can talk Vipers!!

Enjoy your new ride! Welcome to the VCA and Viper world! Sounds like you are not too far away. We are in Santa Clara: 2555 Lafayette St., Ste. 101. Stop by or call me at 408.562.1000. We are open Tues.-Sat.
Hope to see you soon.
Regards,
Wayne
