drip after you wash it?

We had a deluge here in Northern CA on Friday. I had previously arranged to show my new car to a buddy up by Sacramento, about 125 miles out -- of course, just in time for one of the biggest rains of the season. If the whether hasn't hit you guys to the east yet, stay tuned.

The best part of the trip was the cool cycle of the windshield wipers.

The second best part (not) was passing 18-wheelers kicking up 100 gal/sec spray from their tires. It's called drop it into 3rd and scoot by them with prejudice while hoping there is nothing stationary on the other side of the curtain of water/dirt/road grime. The visibility to the rear also reminds me of that that line from the Ferrari driver in Gumball Rally, "what is behind you, she does not matter . . ." as he tears off and tosses the rearview mirror.

The last best part was the way the 13" rear pilot sports evacuate water from the tread. Don't know if it was an illusion or what, but when the headlights from a car behind you shines just right, the sports will hold a solid second to the 18 wheelers' flow rate.

To make a long story short (well, not really), it finally quit raining today long enough for me to wash the car *really* thoroughly. Three hours of the hood in the upright position still has water coming off it. Maybe its' cause my driveway is not flat? (Doesn't really matter, still love my car.) Have to do something about those BBS 20 spokes though, what a PITA to clean!

What you need to do is drive at 150+MPH for 3 minutes
