Other than the Motons I mean. Any additional budget minded choices?

I really have not heard of any good stories about anything other than motons. (yet) but I know that DOUG LEVIN has something new for alot less than motons. Also is is one of the best tuners out there and could give you his .02 cents if you call him.

I certainly hope something cheaper is in the pipeline for the near future. Having just taken delivery of my SRT/10, the tire/fender gap is HUGE! That's one of the first things to go, assuming a more affordable solution is on the horizon, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I haven't put them on yet, but I purchased the Aldan setup from Jon for $1300-1400. I just wanted to lower it about
1 1/2" and this was the cheapest way. Some have had trouble with Aldans, but I don't see why you would have any problems with just a street driven car.

I put the caps on. No problems yet, but the car is only SLIGHTLY lower. You get what you pay for. I'm happy, but the SRT looks SO much better when s l a m m e d.

$$$ Food Chain Lowering Options:

Penske 3way $$$$$$
Moton 3way $$$$$
Moton 2 way $$$$
KW V-2 (careful!) $$$
Aldan Eagles (best Budget Option...) $.$
Spring Caps .$ (.625" lower all 4 corners, $249 ! We have NEVER had a 'shock blowout' or failure with this item, not ONE complaint or return! There are TWO other products that HAVE caused this......one is fixed, one is not.)

P.S. If you are considering ALDANS, PartsRack muled the very first SRT10 sets for Aldan and Heffner Performance. We trouble-shot numerous sets and FINALLY have a product we sell COMPETITIVELY with confidence for SRT10.

P.P.S.: The "Eibach Pro" does NOT offer a "correct" spring kit for SRT10 despite what you might hear or read elsewhere. An early Typo in their own catalogue fooled some re-sellers / buyers. Like with other items offered, "Just because it kind-of-fits does not make it high-functional, or the best-price, or even safe."

Great advice Jon! Another bit of advice is to be carefull how low you go if you have speed bumps like I have in this neck of the woods. At the stock height I scape on them now even when trying to go over them at a 45 degree angle. There should be a lwa against them.

I may upgrade to the Aldan Eagles down the line. Anyone sport these? Pucs? How much of a drop?

Setups like Motons do more than lower a car...they actually make it handle even better. It sounds like most people just want that lowered ricer look and don't care about performance. Just lowering a car will not make it handle better-in fact, it could make it worse. Dodge spends millions of dollars to get the best handling with a usable ride height for the street. You should see how much damage to an undercarriage is done to a lowered street car! Just my 2 cents worth.

I had my SRT sitting pretty low on Aldans for the past year. While I liked the look, it just didn't feel right and I do hit the track, so I went back to stock.

If you are going to do it spend the money to do it right, don't cheap out.

Honestly, the car pretty much drove like crap compared to stock.

I have had my Aldans on for about a month. I got the 500/700# setup and initially set them up in the middle. I am having them stiffened 1 turn and will report the difference. My initial feelings were they were too spongy/bouncy. So if the stiffening doesn't fix it, then I wouldn't recommended them, but I won't know until I get the car back. I don't track my car, just aggressive street driving.

This is what I have found as well. However, Jon B may have the right combination of spring rates/etc to set it up better. Mine was set up with Aldans before purchase.
