How much is my hood worth?

Since there is 90% chance of me moving to Miami I'm wondering if I should change the hood for the one with more vents. How much is 02 hood worth in perfect shape? I mean how much would people pay? I can't keep both as I have no space.

I'm pretty sure you can get a new one for somewhere around $10K-13K. The 5k-6K number sounds about right for a used one.

Well, only one way to find out. Put a price tag on it for what you feel it's worth and see if it sells. If not, you can always lower it.

Most of all the ones I have seen on ebay are damaged and repaired ones. So that maybe the reason why they are cheap. I personally would not want a repaired hood.

I was told the hood cost over 17k painted. I think you should try to get as much as you can on Ebay or don't sell.

Dang. I could by a nice Rice car for that amount of cash.

Anyone that thinks any hood on a street car is worth 17K is living in a dream land. If you can get 17K for a hood, new..used..painted..goldplated...Remster should commission them to sell his Dolphin car for 200K. Or whatever the hell he's asking for it these days.

Its worth 5-6K. New. Thats it.

If you get more, it will be after approx. 5-10 listings on ebay over a year.

3 years ago you could get 8K.

When I totaled my 2000 RT-10 the damage report said
that a new hood painted was $27,100 CAD!!

So if you list it around 60% of the new value you could probably get rid of it and pick up a new "Elite" hood.
