How often do you have to charge/adjust your motons?

I have an 06 FE and I put about 1500-2000 track miles on the car a year, and maybe 100 street miles.

Right now I have the KW V2's but the springs are way too soft. I absolutely need to change the springs. Since I have to pull the shocks off anyway I am re-evaluating my shock choice.

The only thing keeping me from going the Moton route is that they require maintenance. If I have any free time, I'd like it to be spent on track, not working on the car.

So, how often do you have to adjust/refill/recharge your motons?

Thanks.

The canisters of the Moton CS shocks will need to be checked periodically but not all the time. I have customers check the pressures about every year and a half to two years. That they can loose a little pressure is not a huge thing, they still work fine, but may ride a little harsher than normal because you don't have as much spring boost as you did originally.

Most performance shops that work on track cars would have the equipment needed to check the canisters. If you don't have someone close you can buy the fill valve and possibly have a local welding shop supplier set you up with the Nitrogen you need. it only takes a couple of minutes to do all this and don't let it scare you away from the great Moton product.

I have sold probably a hundred plus sets over the past 8 years and never had a customer regret doing so. They will absolutely transform your Viper! :headbang:

Magnus,

I have Motons on 4 Vipers. I check them once a year on my ACR, once every couple of years on my street cars. I check them while they are on the car - no disassembly required. You can buy the pressure gage from Moton USA. Very simple to check and add pressure if needed and they loose very little pressure over time.

Nader's kit is quite nice and has everything you need to check them and to refill them if necessary.

Don't let this keep you from upgrading to Motons, a vastly superior product.

You cannot re-charge the KW's yourself that I know of - you would have to send them back to KW; and they'll loose pressure too.
